Project Goal
To explore the capabilities of Blender 5.0 and integrate AI tools into the full production pipeline, aiming to identify where they enhance the final output and save time, and where traditional methods remain more practical.
The Story
We started by using ChatGPT to draft a creative brief, and then attempted to generate a full video script based on it.

The results were telling. While AI is excellent for structuring thoughts, brainstorming ideas, and mapping out logic, it falls short of delivering a coherent script without human expertise. Even for a project with a simple creative concept, a director’s vision remains essential to guide the pacing, emphasis, narrative drive, and contextual transitions.
Storyboard
We intentionally skipped the traditional 2D storyboarding phase. Instead, we jumped straight into building the scenes using 3D layouts to accelerate the validation of scale, camera movement, composition, and pacing.
In parallel, we attempted to generate one specific "perfect" angle using AI. This stage clearly demonstrated that while neural networks often produce beautiful results, they lack precise control when you need a shot composed «exactly like this and no other way»
Concepts
We used Nano Banana for concept shots as:
  • A fast way to test the visual direction prior to shading.
  • A generator for static reference scenes to guide subsequent video generation.

However, we didn’t rely on pure text prompts; everything was built on top of our pre-existing layout to maintain the composition and scene logic

Video Generation
For the video phase, we tested the then-new Kling O1 model, primarily for its ability to utilize video-to-video references.
This gave us the most critical advantage: precise control over both camera and object movement. However, as with any AI workflow, it wasn't entirely free from "glitches in the matrix." Dealing with visual artifacts, unexpected interpretations, and wasted generations is a reality for which you must always budget extra time and patience.
3D Animation
All 3D animation and color grading were done in Blender 5.0, utilizing the long-awaited ACES 2.0 color space.

We intentionally skipped any external compositing after rendering. Our goal was to test how far we could push the final output while staying entirely within Blender, keeping the entire process seamless and strictly controlled.
We’re ready to join at any stage -
from idea and visual concept to production and adaptations.
